If God created sex for the married couple, shouldn’t married Christians have the most passionate, romantic, and exciting sex life?
Yep, the whole world is talking “sex” – oh, but not us! Shhh, we’re Christians.
Is it time to add some zest to your marriage? If you’re stuck in a routine or your passion has grown stale -- your marriage can be “hot” again.
A few years ago I decided to spice things up, set the mood and leave a spark of anticipation for Hubby. Upon buying a two-piece lingerie set (it was hot!) I had the brilliant idea to give Hubby each piece separately with a cute little (seductive) note.
Hubby found the first piece I had hid and was left anticipating what was coming next. Oh my, what a cute plan I had – it was working! While he was at work I had the most incredible idea – I’d drive to his work and leave the second piece out in the front seat of his car with a love note.
Oh, I was so sneaky. Nobody saw me – I was good.
Later that afternoon the phone rings.
“Babe, hmmmm – I had to give the Commander a ride today. What were you thinking?”
Embarrassing then.
Hysterical now.
So, my ever-so-clever plan had a glitch in it, but I have to say the purpose worked ever-so-cleverly. Yeah, Baby!
Do you have some good ideas for spicing up the romance in your marriage?
I’d love to hear them. Shoot, I’d love to try them.
I’m sure they are amazing and brilliant!

Oh goodness my friend, I am laughing so hard I can hardly type.
No hints, tips or ideas from this old married woman. Things sort of changed when hubby got sick.
But, boy I will love coming back by here to check out yours and others 'hot' ideas!!!!
You are just too funny.
That is so funny! Cute idea!
I don't have any ideas, but I'm definitely checking back to find out some. :)
I'm cracking up with you Alene. How embarrassing!
Sorry I'm not married so no tips. :)
Too funny!
It looks like I'm in the same boat as most of your blogging friends...no ideas:)
Oh my gosh!! That is SOOO FUNNY!!! :-D
Come on girls! I need some tips - surely you have something. If not, maybe more posts like this are in order!!!
Funny - Very funny. Okay I'm brain dead in this area.

OK Girl ~ Why don't you go ahead and do a few more posts like this.
I'm sure we really aren't all without ideas ~ probably just not willing to post them so publicly.
You know ~ it's about sex and the Christian ~ someone might find out!
Hehehe!!!
Alene, you naughty nymph! Who knew you were such a hot tamale?! As you know, I'm not married yet but I will definitely keep your seductive foray in mind (hopefully minus the embarrassing part) when God delivers me my husband. :P
Okay, Alene. I'll play. One year for Valentine's Day, I found an online florist that had a Chinese takeout box with chocolate in it. The outside was decorated with the whole XOXOXOXOX thing in red and white. I ordered one and had it delivered to hubby at work. Rather low-key, right?
Well, I also found online a kimono, which I ordered..in red!
I called him and asked if he would pick up Chinese take-out for dinner.
I then put pillows on the floor around our coffee table complete with place settings for the food when he arrived home. I greeted him dressed in my kimono...only my kimono!
Needless to say, my samurai enjoyed his geisha that evening!
(Was I supposed to say that? Is that too risque for a Christian blog? :->)
BTW, this was before we had a child! Hmmm, I wonder if I still have that kimono?!?
YEA Dawn - Great idea! Cute too.
You crack me up!
Well. Now the Commander knows your husband is a very happy man. Nothing wrong with that. ;)
That was really a clever idea on your part! I'm sure the Commander went home and told his wife the story and they both had a good laugh!
HA! Now there you go, that Commander was thinking what a lucky guy your husband is and probably wishing his wife was just as clever.
HYSTERICAL! I'm going to be laughing about this one all day long!
Thanks for linking up to Finding the Funny. Hope to see you next week!
Anna
Hahahaaaaa!!! This cracked me up!! That is so, so, so awesome. I love it. That totally made for a good story, though! Loved that you linked up with #findingthefunny. You'll be back next week, right?? :)
Hmmmm - didn't think about the Commander telling his wife. Shoot maybe she tried it too. :) Y'all are cracking me up.
We found a website that has lubricating lotions. It's great for older couples. We also bought a dice game that was a lot of fun.
Sometimes you just have to get away for the weekend. Be sure to have great music...something romantic without words works for me.
Also, taking your time to seduce each other like you did when you first married. Don't be so "goal" oriented. Enjoy the journey without thinking about the final destination.
That is EXACTLY why I can't try things like this! I know how they would backfire. Any time I've ever tried to be spontaneous in my life, there's always been some major malfunction! Hysterical! Found you at Anna and Kelley's link up!
Hey Alene, Your post was one of the top 5 most popular at last week's #findingthefunny! We're featuring you tomorrow - hope to see you then!
Anna
Sparkling - yes, normally things backfire on me too. But it makes for good humor as time passes.
Anna - YEA!!! Can't wait to be featured. Finding the Funny was a great link-up. Thanks.
Saw your feature at My Life and Kids. (Congrats!) I loved reading about your little "mix-up" and I totally agree with you about the taboos associated with sex. To be honest, I really don't believe that God intended it to be that way.
We might not be newlyweds anymore, but 1) we're not dead yet and 2) that's what makes it so much better. After almost 30 years, there's an easiness and sense of knowing that didn't exist when we were younger. (and it doesn't hurt that we're empty nesters, either. LOL)
My suggestions? OK... A little R&B, a silk scarf or two, candles, a lightly scented massage oil and I'll leave the rest to the imagination. "Clothing" (of your choice) is optional. ;~)
We have spice most of the time when he is off work. The biggest thing I enjoy is that we flirt with one another. Certain words are playful banter (not dirty minded) type of things but rather sublumial messages inforced as we give a playful smile or an "oh really" phrase. The draw back is sometimes I will giggle & my 11 yr old is saying,"what's so funny" so I say daddy is just being silly. I laugh a lot because I love the way my husband shows his affection through joyfulness to me & the kids (4 & 11). By being communicative & flirtasious as he walks up to me doing dishes & leaves a hug or a kiss on my neck or a grab on my bottom. Or as I'm heading to do something he will stop me & kiss & hug on me. That he does even in front of my frinds & no one minds. We talk a lot & pray together often. All these things help to keep it spicy within our marriage. Nothing so far in the funny interuption department except once the older one came knocking on the door but we weren't doing anything but planting the ideas with kissing n such. We enjoy having locks on our doors! Lol It's apart of life. That's all. :)
